Handmade Messenger Travel Bag

Are you looking for a messenger bag tutorial? How about a free one? I can do that. Looky, I just made this one. It took all of 3 hours. I was going for 2. Seeing how this is the first time ever making one, I think 3 hours could turn into 2 with practice. Once you start making them you then quickly figure out what to do and not to do. I will share those tips with you in the tutorial.
I lined the bag using a canvas type of fabric to give it a little sturdy structure. I even used interfacing. When making a bag you really need sturdy materials (fabrics) as much as possible. But I had to use this soft cotton printed fabric. I had just enough left over to really do something with but what? It had to be worthy of it too. I wanted to show it off. So the bag came into mind. Don't you you just love it when you can make something with that special fabric you just love.
You can make your own bag and your being green by doing so.

The inside has a pocket. Just one and a Velcro closure. This is going to be a simple bag for you to make and you will love how many places you can take and use it.

Tutorial coming soon!

UPDATE: I am making another bag for my tutorial. It would help if I take photos all through the making process and not half way like I did for this one. Opps. So once that bag is made I shall have a tutorial for you. And yes a smaller size one too at that. Hubby nicknamed this bag a BAB. Bab meaning: Big Ass Bag.

Too cute bag. It's kind of big for me. I wanted more of a purse or tote bag size. Do you have that size tutorial?
