Thrifty Christmas shopping
I decided last minute to go to a few thrift stores. Yesterday I was daydreaming of beautiful vintage Christmas decor. The vintage have so much character. I found a whole bunch of goodies today. Last year I found a few Santa ornies and that was it!
I found a bunch of vintage ornaments. Glass, plastic and flocked. Some of them were in their orginal boxes. I even found a vintage glass tree topper in the box. The little mice, elf, Santa and the Mrs. are flocked. These were found all loose at the bottom of a bin. Worth the dig. Each of those plastic round balls have little characters inside.
The two snowman are from the 80's. They are huge! The two plastic Santas were a dream come true find. I love them. The church is plastic and the roof comes off. It's a music box and it lights up. I used one of those vintage bulbs to test it and it works! So does the pink candle.
I paid $2.00 for all those trees. The white one looks just the one I found the other day. I even found it at the same shop. The bottle brush tree is huge. I love bottle brush trees. You know you can bleach the green out right? It's very easy. You then can leave it antique white or use dye to stain it. Takes no time at all. I dyed the ones you see in my photos.
I am not sure of the year those platters were made but they are so dreamy! And very big. Pennsylvania Dutch theme. Today was a good day indeed for thrifting. I'm glad I had that last minute idea to go.

You did amazing! I love Christmas time at the thrift stores. I can usually find one or two pieces of vintage each time I go in.
Happy Holidays!
