Mod Dress I made from New Look Pattern 6826

Oh MY! I am so excited. Did you hear me scream 5 min ago when I tried this on? I made this dress using New Look Pattern 6826. I am simply in love with this pattern. You can alter it a few different ways. I opted not to make pockets even tho my pattern called for it. I made version D. Why make pockets? You are not even going to see them. HAHA Not with this fabric. The total cost of this dress was $3.44 for the pattern (which will gets lots of use now, *investment*) and $4.00 for the fabric, $1.26 for the zipper. DEAL! I am sold. I have enough fabric leftover that I could make a headband and maybe a bag. Oh I won't wear them all together. Goodness no. The headband and bag will help me spruce up my tired jeans and plain shirt day.

I need a good source for clothing fabric. Anyone have one? XOXO

Ps. Did you notice far away my dress looks like X's and O's? I did too. And on right side of the dress, underneath my arms and down, where the seams are sewn, the pattern combined created hearts just on that side. (giggle)

I LOVE IT! It reminds me of the jumpers we wore in the 70's. Is it a retro pattern or a new pattern made to look retro? Regardless, you did an awesome job. You're young enough to pull it off. I can totally see my daughters wearing that.

Fantastic - you clever thing! i so would love to give one a go ... but am way to scared to try. Love the shoes too!

such a cute little dress! I can see lots of possibilities for that pattern!
