Craft Show Crunch Time

I went a little vintage shopping last week.
I have been sewing away getting ready for my
first craft show of the year.
I am almost ready.
I will have lots of new handmades to offer.

These cute little figurines should have came home with me.
I would turn into such a vintage hoarder if I had the funds.

I find these often. I like the really small ones.

All of these evening bags should be in my closet!

So should these! Can you imagine pulling out this table
and saying...Hmmm...what do I wear tonight?
Yesssssssss!!

I bought this vintage linen towel.
It is new but very vintage.
There is a poodle on both sides.
I am going to make this into something.
I have no idea what.

I purchased more vintage magazines.
I do love looking at them.
I have several vintage magazines.
I cut them up and make art with them.
Some people cringe at the thought of it.
Some people do not like to hear vintage being CUT UP!!
In the name of ART it is 100% acceptable.

The ads are so perfect.
This one is getting framed and put in the kitchen!

This one, framed and going in the craft room.

This one is going in the dressing room.

I have lots of dolls packed away for the show. I
am working on more today.

I am trying to repurpose these. I made them
into hair clips 2 years ago and now I would like to
take them apart (kinda) and use them for something
else. I have a few ideas. I will show them off
if any are worthy. I hope to show something off. Eek!

2 New Raggedy Sewing Patterns

This weekend I was doing a little pattern making.
I have 2 Brand New Patterns for sale.
One if for a set of dolls. The one above and below.
The pattern will tell you how to make both of these dolls.

The second pattern I made is for my Raggedy Ann Plastic Doll Keeper.
I have them listed in my Etsy Shop.

This week I plan on craft show prepping more.
I have lots of doll bodies to sew. My
sewing machine is alive once again for craft show prep.
Happy Monday!!

Raggedy Ann dolls

These are the first dolls of 2012.
I am ready to dive into my doll making this year
at full speed. I am working on 2 patterns right now.
I should have those finished tonight.
I listed 4 dolls in my Etsy shop.

Each one is made with homespun fabric shirts and wool skirts.

This little cutie sold to a local friend of mine.

Oh my gosh. I am just really excited about the cute faces I stitched
on my dolls. I have been stitching the eyes on my dolls
instead of using buttons.

I love this hair. I will have to order more.
There is enough for maybe one more doll.
Yikes.

My landlord bought this doll.
How fun huh?
She dropped by today and was
checking out my aqua room, which she loves.
She was really impressed with my dolls.
I giggled when she said I WILL TAKE THIS ONE!

I have more Raggedy Ann Dolls to hand make.
I must get the patterns finished first.
Oh dear, who wants to make dinner for me?

My first Craft show of the Year!

I am only doing maybe 3 shows this year.
I have spread them out so I am not busy all the time
doing several things at once. I need to concentrate more
on anniescuboards.com and this is the year to do it.

RETRO INDIE MARKET 2012
Boynton Beach, in Sunny South Florida

You can find me Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012
at the Boynton Beach Woman's Club.
You can get directions here and find out
a little more information about this show.

If you love crafts and love vintage.
This is the show for you.
They have mixed a few crafters
and vintage sellers in a very pretty venue.
This show is only once a year.
I was there last year. I will be
on the first floor this year. Come look for me.
I am bringing all new creations
and bringing my dolls back as well.

This is the show to be at.
See you there!!

Vintage Amber Glass Cups

I have been using a filter for my camera on my iPhone
to get these photos to look vintage like.

I am not an amber collector.
I had to buy these 3 pieces.
They are ice cream cups?
I have an idea to do something crafty with them.
Or keep them as is and put them in the kitchen cabinet.
Not sure.

I have been really good on passing up Pyrex lately.
You would be so proud of me. I
am not collecting or buying any of the ones
I already have and or do not like. I found some and walked
on by. It helped they were all scratched up.
I found these two Vintage Pyrex dishes.
The Spring Blossom Aqua Butterprint.
I like Butterprint cause it has the balloons.

I found these unique Milk Glass pieces.
Ok, faux pieces. But you know,
same thing to me. I wish to find real.
I love unique pieces. These are
on display at on Buffet table already.
I am done collecting vases. I need a few
other pieces for seasonal decor. I would love to display
Easter in Milk Glass. I am working on a Valentines display now.
I have some searching to do. I have a box of decor missing
in the garage. Oh and I threw my back out 2 days ago.
So I really want to go look. I am lucky enough to actually get in
a sitting position yesterday so I won't push it.
Its back to doing Pilates 2 to 3 times a week.
My lower back gets so much pressure on it.
You rest you rust.

I am sewing!! I have a few dolls coming out soon. I want to get
a few things put into my Etsy store as well. There should be
some new goodies in that store of mine very soon!!

Happy New Year!!

I took all the Christmas decor down yesterday.
It is always sad to see it go away.
Everyone who loves to decorate knows the feeling.

This year I vow to decorate my buffet table often.
I want to show off little vintage displays.
I have quite a few pieces that look
so pretty together. Finally I have more than just Pyrex to show off.
I gathered all the cake plates I made last year
and put all the tarts and candles inside of them.
I was trying to go for a little bakery Valentines display.
Once I get it finished I will show it off.

Go to your local thrifty stores and go often.
Check to see what they have and what goes with your style.
Always think outside the box. Repurpose things.
No one says a trunk has to hold stuff. It can be a table.
A night stand can be a side table next to the sofa.
There are no rules in decor. Make your home you.
It may take some time to put a collection together or even a room.
But keep going. Keep your eyes open.

I decided to keep the vases out that I made for my Christmas decor.
I am not sure what to put in them yet. So this side of the buffet table looks
a little empty. I need some fillers. Hmmmm...

My sister and I has a huge feast. Crabs and shrimp.
I was kind of vague in telling you about finding my sister.
I realize this now.
It has been a whirlwind of days and I feel as if I am just
now catching up and getting my breath back.
My sister has been living at her current address for the last 5 years.
She does not drive.
She needed to renew her license since it was a year expired already.
I have been trying to find her all this time. (almost 9 years)
This past Dec.1 my oldest son was like lets try looking for her again.
My younger sister who lives here locally, my son and me all try every month
to dig and see what we can come up with.
Nov. 28. is my oldest sister's Birthday. She renewed her drivers license
on her Birthday. When she did she updated all her information.
In the state of Florida the DMV will let anyone search their Public records.
My younger sis is the one who found her by plugging in her info.
Up popped her full name and address.
I just had to drive over, knock on the door.
I did. I was greeted by her roommate who told me she was not home
from work yet and that he would call me to tell me when she got home.
Her roommate is a friend we grew up with but I lost touch with
when my sister and I moved away from as young adults.
He said he recommends telling her before I surprise her cause
she is a little on the nervous side. And that she is.
Christmas day me and my other sis got to hang out with older sis and
we were just smiling and giggling all day. It was fun.
She is a quiet person and I am completely opposite.
I am the tallest sister.
I am the girliest sister.
I am noticing lots of things about me and them.
Haha Sisters!! I am so happy I know
where all my sisters are now.
VERY HAPPY!

New year new Sketch book.
I started doodling already.

My friend traded me some yummy tarts.
I just LOVEEE everything.
I love bakery scents and fruit scent and florals.

I wishing you all a HAPPY and the BEST 2012!

Barbie Vanity Dresser

Barbie got her Vanity Dresser for Christmas!
It came complete with all 3 dresser drawers.
I also got her 6 perfume bottles an alarm clock
and a hair dryer. (ok, it came with the dresser)
This dresser also came with a stool.
Which she is sitting on and blocking
pretty much the entire view of the dresser.
You can see the dresser here.
That is not my dresser but looks just like it.
My seat is just plain pink.
I am going to spruce it up and
use some vintage sheet fabric I have.

Gooseberry Pyrex

I found these two Pyrex bowls yesterday
at my local thrifty store.
They were 3 bucks each.
Right is the 4 quart.
Left 2 1/2 quart.

I am trying not to buy any Pyrex I already have.
I am at the point where there is just not enough space
to hoard all the Pyrex in the world. So I am keeping
it simple. However, with me just typing that out
I am getting ready to type this. I already own these.
Both of them. HA! I am unable to pass up Gooseberry.
Well at the moment I am unable too. No but really.
I am serious about keeping my Pyrex
jumping loving heart from bringing them all home.
Only ones I do not have and must have.
At least try. Right?

Vintage Pink Alarm Clock

How sweet is this Vintage Alarm Clock.
It has a new home in my Craft room.
It works!
I paid 3 bucks for it.
This is a Westclox.
You can learn a little about this company here.
There are some cute clocks on that page.
I would be clock obsessed so easy.
Keep your eyes open in your thrift stores.

Custom Doll Order

I made this dolly for a customer of mine.
I do custom dolls.
You can just contact me on Etsy.
This one is my Valentines doll.
She wanted a heart nose.
I like her with the heart nose!!
I am thinking of changing my pattern now.

Vintage Santa Claus Ornaments

I found these vintage Santa Clause Ornies
while thrift store shopping.

There was only 1 Mrs. Claus.
4 Santa Claus.
I paid 10 cents for each one.

I also found 3 mini Santas.
They look as if there were lights.
There are holes in them at the top of the hat.

I just put them all in bowls.
It was nice finding vintage Christmas decor.

Christmas was very MERRY!!

My friend Genelle sent this gift to me.
I just adore her.
I screamed on Facebook how I loved this one scarf.
She just made it for me.
Like that.
Talk about so sweet!!
I wish I knew how to crochet/knit.
I love her creativity and style.
I love her to bits.
She did not have to go to all that trouble.
I sent her a little thank you package <3 .
She made me 2 scarves.
I KNOW!!
Talk about sweet!
Today is the first day I get to use one.
It is a little chilly outside!!
I really love love love these scarves!
She sent these earrings and ornies.
She really has awesome skills.
Thank you again GENELLE!! XOXO

I have been busy with my Sister and catching up.
She does not want her photo on the internet.
Well, that is her. She is still set in her ways.
I am so glad to have her back.
It has been a whirlwind of days that have been flying by.
We spent Christmas together and shall be
spending New Years together too.

I FOUND MY MISSING SISTER!

Some of you may remember that I had 2 sisters missing. I found my youngest sister almost 2 years ago on Facebook. I just found my older sister yesterday. I FOUND HER! My heart is complete! She is here in FLORIDA. IN THE SAME COUNTY as me.

THANK YOU GOD!

I am so excited.

Please excuse me if I am not around for a bit.
You can understand why.

XOXO

Rag doll Bag keeper

I just made this little dolly up.
She is a plastic bag keeper.
Her dress will get nice and poofy after you stuff
it full of plastic bags.

I will be working on a pattern for her.

This doll is already listed in my Etsy Shop.
