15 min Fabric Headband Creation

I had this fabric headband idea in my head last night as I drifted off to sleep. I am so lucky I remembered it. Usually if I don't write it down the idea its gone as quickly as it came. I just really adore it. I am going to make this into a pattern. I am of course going to make some for my craft show. See a rainy day can bring good works. XOXO

Dorothy Primitive Raggedy Ann dolly is on Ebay

I have listed this adorable cutie on Ebay. I am currently making her into a pattern.

I have been staying inside today. There is such icky weather out. Day 2 of the storm and man is it moving slow? Its been so very windy and rainy. Big ole BUCKETS of rain. At least I have doll making to keep me busy! Thank you everyone for your concerns for me during this storm. Its almost gone. XOXO

Tropical Storm Fay Fabric Monday

So there is this tropical storm Fay coming straight to us here in South Florida. I had to run to the post office this morning. Then of course I had to run into Joann Fabrics. Of course I did a storm is coming and first thing I think of is fabric. I needed some felt and some DMC thread. They just so happen to have 1 of those yummy "pyrex" print fabric fat quarter. Yipee! I needed more red prints. I was lucky to find some. I am going to bunker down and sew for the rest of the day. XOXO

I signed up for a 2nd Craft Show!

I signed up for the Country Roads Arts & Crafts Festival in the Town of Southwest Ranches. This craft show is a one day show on October 18, 2008, Saturday. Its from 10am - 4pm. I am going to have a 10x10 Tent. Hubby will have to come help me set up and take down the show in case anything is too heavy for me. He has no idea that he is tho. hehe Maybe someone should tell him? (giggle) The show is so close to my house. It was a 10 min drive, I tested it today when I went to turn in my funds for the booth. This show is two weeks after my first craft show. There is no turning back now. Oh my my my. I am off to make even more goodies. Oh my!

Fat Quarter Swap

Oh my. Looky what just came in the mail. My son went to take the trash out and brought me a little gift back. How sweet is that? haha! My friend Tammy (from ROCK RIVER STITCHES) had my name in the fabric fat quarter swap we did on swap-bot. Oh my she sent WAY to many goodies. I adore everything she sent me. She spoiled me too much. Oh my! Looky at the toys. MY favorite. They are so hard to find. Does she know this? Does she know how hard I look all the time and I never get to find something yummy as a meat grinder and an egg beater? Did she know I was looking for one? I tried getting one a few times on Ebay only to be outbid. MORE than once. Oh my STARS! I am so ever THANKFUL! Each item is a treasure. I am so loving the vintage rick rack and vintage binding. So many things *scream* me! She did so good on her first swap. TOO GOOD. Ya spoiled me girl. I LOVE IT SO MUCH. I really really do.XOXOXO Thank you TAMMY!

Today is Fabric Friday!

I wish every Friday was *Fabric Friday* I purchased these yummy prints at Walmart.

Craft Show Wallet Bags

I have these all finished and waiting to be packed away for my craft show. I still have to make a few more. I forgot to make a few of them in Super Girl fabric. I do have larger super girl ones made and if someone wants a matching wallet I better get to making them. These are perfect for keeping your money and credit cards and drivers license. They are hand washable. They are fully lined. Each bag has matching fabric but contrast. Not the same fabric in the inside as the outside. Each one with a fantastic vintage button. Some of the buttons I have used are glass. (red, aqua and clear) Some of the buttons are plastic. But all vintage. I also used some of those vintage fabric scraps I bought a while back. Remember the red white and blue unfinished quilt blocks? Those were actually my inspiration to make wallets. They were the perfect size and model for all the other bags. Yipeee!

Now I have to get to making dolls. All this bag making has taken over my last 2 weeks. I will be offering more dolls than anything. Those I can make blind folded. hehe These....not so much. XOXO

Craft Show Banner Part 2

I am still working on the banner. I have added rick rack and some vintage buttons. I also added a fabric yoyo. I have just a few more things to do and I shall then be completed with my front design. This is coming along really nice. Yipee!

Handmade Craft Show Vendor Apron

I made this apron for my show. It has four pockets on the apron. There are 3 small ones and 1 large one. I lined the pockets and the back of the apron. Along with the ties in the back. So everything looks nice and tidy. I really must say this fabric is nice to use for aprons. It fits nice. Bolt of aqua yummy put to use again!

Still making bags for the show

I can get MORE bags made if I can make this shape instead of the FUN yet awkward one below. (the one above the name tag) Remember a few posts back? I think this smaller version will be a keeper for the show.

Homemade Craft Show Banner Part 1

I just started this today. I had to find the letters via google. I then had to print them out and then copy them on my printer and then shrink the size of them. Then I cut out all the letters from fabric scrap. And of course my background is my bolt of aqua goodness (remember I bought the whole bolt and wanted to count how many uses I would get for it? Oh plenty so far huh?)I sewed each letter on with my sewing machine. I had to pin each letter. I thought it was going to be a project that would not get finished. I was nervous about the size of the banner and me sewing with it and the letters staying put. But it seemed to all work out well. That's one for the crafter's side! Yipee! XOXO
