Aqua Vintage Sheet Lust

Is this wish granted week at the thrift stores?
I found this amazing lovely vintage sheet. It fits my king size bed.
This is not a king size sheet. Someone sewed 2 or 3 twin size sheets together.
That was my idea. Remember I said I was going to do that when I found
twin size sheets I loved? They never have king size in anything I want.
Today changed. When I went to look to find the price is when I noticed
a few twin size tags on the sheet. I was so happy. No stains no holes.
So totally ready for my bed after washing of course.
The funny thing is it came with a twin size
fitted sheet that was not altered.
I am making that into pillowcases or pillow.

Look how much over hang is on each side of the bed. The colors are fab and so me.
Guess what? I know you see it. 2 sets in front of you completed. WHAT?
Just yesterday I was showing off my prized finished completed set of Pyrex primary bowls.
Today I found a small blue bowl!! YES I DID!
It seems to be rather lighter almost aqua like.
The other blue bowl I got from my friend Sunday is on the right.
Look how blue that is.
I really do not care if this is not for this set.
Maybe it is. I have to ask my Pyrex friends over at
Pyrex Collective. They will know. Someone there has to know.

*updated* I found this site here that told me YES its part of the set!
I found these 2 pillowcases. I love them!
How amazing bright and pretty they are.
I found 2 of these vintage pillowcases.
They are the long ones. Perfect I need those.
I am not sure if I showed these to you yet. Sorry if I did. I bought these a bit ago while thrifitng with my friend. They had more than this. I just bought the best ones in the bunch and left the rest. I am going to make cake plates from these. I am not sure I am going to sell them. I think I might hoard these and use them at my craft shows? I love them. These vintage plates are so pretty with the pink and yellow flowers. They are Ben Seibel plates. Mikasa Duplex- Pattern called Eden. You can read more about his fabulous designs here.

Completed my first Pyrex primary bowl set!

Wow. I am really so happy about this set being completed. You have no idea how much I have wanted to do this. Only recently have I been looking online to buy one. I wanted to have a full set competed but thrifted and only thrifted. This past weekend, I accomplished that mission.
It took me almost 2 years to do this. This set is extra special now. As a child this set was used often in our house. I am happy to complete it. I now forgive myself for walking away when I saw it locally for sale completed set for $50. You see that day I passed that set up, is the very same day Pyrexia struck me. I went back to get it. And it was gone.
(jumping up and down with excitement!!)
(eek) The bowls really need dusting and cleaning.

My friend Michelle from Family Vintage. She purchased this for me. Thrifting. She is on a thrifting voyage this summer. You can follow her on facebook and her blog to catch what she is doing.
She found these aqua bowls too. I just adore them.
The daisy pink Pyrex on the right is mad faded. But that is ok. I can make meatloaf in there and not cry cause its Pink and my favorite.

Sewing & Thrifting

Found a Square Flowers (Verde) Vintage Pyrex dish with lid.
I am not much crazy about lids anymore. I know it makes a complete set when you have a lid. I am only interested now if the lid has a pattern or color to match the dish.
This dish is not Pyrex.
I know I made that rule about no longer bringing home Pyrex-like dishes.
I had to bend that rule today. This dish is adorable. The print.

The birds the colors the flowers. I really adore it. It has a lid to match.
Forget what I said above about being over the lids.
If I did not find this dish with the lid I am not sure I would have liked it as much?
I am ridiculous with rules. I am so happy I break them often.
I thought I was over buying suitcases.
Yet, as I stood in line to pay for this suitcase and only this suitcase I was giving myself a talk about how I will find adorable suitcases all the time and I will have to resist buying them.

I needed them for craft show displays and keeping my craft room tidy and organized. I have those and plenty of them. I even gave some away to my friend.
This one is so rare and unusual. I love it. The inside. Oh wow.
The colors are robins egg blue with silver/gray.

I am sewing and stuffing and sewing. I have a few private orders I am working on and I have been taking little breaks to get out there and stretch. Thrifting is perfect for this. There is lots of bending and stretching and walking. Sometimes your skipping back to the car with happiness!

Vintage Vera Tablecloth

I found a Vintage Vera oval tablecloth. This one went right into my cabinet. Its so very pretty.
Perfect summer print. I also found a vintage twin size flat daisy sheet.
This sheet is going into Etsy.
I have been making dolls. I am drawing a bunch for new creations too. It is way hot out this year. I am hoping for a short summer like last year. We could only be so lucky. Get out there an enjoy your summer. Toes in the grass or sand?? Me grass. I know I live so close to the beach. I could visit every day if I wanted. I am not a beach person. The sand gets everywhere and it is way to hot for me to enjoy. I do like the ocean. But if I had my escape it would be to the mountains and forest in a cabin with a fireplace and homemade stew cooking on the stove. Taking in the view of streams and ponds and breathing in all that fresh air. I can see myself swinging on that rope swing now.

Pyrex Monday

I finally found the snowflake salt and pepper shakers. Jello mold was purchased too.
I found 2 vintage Early American Pyrex bowls. I have not found this pattern before. I was a bit excited over them.
2 big yellows. I always find these large yellow Pyrex bowls. I still need the small blue.
I had to move a few things around to get these new pieces in place. I am ready for a new cabinet. I have been keeping my eye open. Nothing yet.

I do love Pyrex Monday's!

I found Pink Pyrex!

I found this whole set. Not thrifting. I found it at an antique store. And it was affordable! I paid $45 for the whole set. HAPPILY I paid too. I never find PINK! I found it.
This is my Etsy purchase I told you about. It arrived safe and sound. This was the very first piece I ordered from online. I might have to do it again. Funny how I was trying to complete this set and I find the set the very next day after this bowl arrived at the front door. This is the large bowl The 4 quart size. I was so worried about the shipping part.
My friend Tiffany and I were out and about last weekend. We went thrifting and to the farmers market. I love it over there. We are going to again for sure. They now have someone making BBQ over there. The food is so awesome. These are not flying pigs. haha They are Pink water pigs. They help you water the garden.

Don't ya love FRESH fruit and veggies? Free from any toxins!! You will never taste anything better than that.
Tiffany found her favorite pattern of Pyrex. We both were Pyrex High all day. It was fabulous. She caught Pyrexia from me. It happens. I warned her the effects.

If you want very yummy tasting SOUTHERN bbq, head on over here for the weekend.

Unrelated: I am still trying to make the perfect jello mold. This one came out ALMOST perfect. I am getting there. At least it was not a mush like last time.

Etsy Shop is getting some love

My Etsy shop has been getting some much needed love and attention from me.
I was able to list a few items. I hope to list a few more.
I really love making things out of vintage bed sheets. I love these prints.

Ducks!

I can not go outside and take photos of my hand mades with out someone coming to see what I am doing. The little baby ducks are all grown up. These are 2 other ducks that came by one day and stayed. I see the baby ducks every now and then. They were always together but once they learned how to fly. They started to explore. I see them almost every day. They hang out with each other sometimes. Sometimes they just wander around. If I see them down the street I say Hi babies. And they know it's me.
