My friend surprised me with a gift today. LOOKY at the pretty lights she gave me. She makes them. She has some really good things on her website you should go check her out HERE! She sent me red blue and white. PERFECT for my tree. I am so in lov with her lights. She has so many to choose from. I am just so happy how they look on my tree. THANK YOU SO MUCH ROBIN....XOXO

Oh You will hate that I dont have any pictures. They will come soon. I am in the process of making a few new LARGE dolls. And I am trying my hand at drawing their eyes....AGAIN. I have a unique twist tho. I have not tried this style yet so I am anxious for it to be done. I want to see how she turns out!! I have been drawing eyes on paper and some days I get nice drawings and other days I think the 3rd grade me came out on paper. I really don't know what happens. I am not sure if I like painting eyes or drawing eyes better. I cant paint yet I can find myself making my eyes better in paint than pencil. This is why I make so many dolls. I have to try each version I see in my head and give each one a try. OCD! Yeah maybe a little?

I made some softie trees for my tree. I also made a few of allsorts clogs to go in there. I am addicted to making those at the moment.

I have heard my friend Kim rave about this place Ikea and how she shops there. They finally put one here in my city of all places. Just a hop skip and a jump away. My husband went there with his Mom. He came home and said Honey, I am never taking you there. He just stands there and giggles. You can't imagine my face when he gave me the thick catalog from the store. I heart this store so much oh my goodness! This store is all over the WORLD! Wow.

This year I wanted to do things a bit different than my normal dark theme colors I usually do. My house needed some BRIGHT CHEER!! I have been mesmerized by this color for a bit now so I guess it was only natural for it to come out for the Holidays. I told the kids and hubby I was going to bring them a "White Christmas". Seeing how we live in Sunny South Florida and find no snow, no cold weather and maybe a jacket day here and there. My lights are blue and red. However only the red was wanting to be photographed. I love how they flicker from red to blue. I always wanted a white tree and now I have one. I usually buy a fresh tree but this year I opted not to have one more thing to clean up after. I am going to make some ornies for it and prolly change things here and there. But for now I think It shall stay like this. I already took the snow dolly out. hehe I hear gnomes gathering in the corner. I will see if any come out to play. Oh this Christmas theme is so fun this year reminds me of when I was younger and my father took me to gnome country in Idaho. What? Yes Idaho. (giggle)

I really did not want to go anywhere today. I know there are going to be long lines and crazy drivers out there. I had no plans on getting in my car and heading over to the most far away fabric store I know. But there I was 7:30 Am and they were calling my name. Lucky I went. I found some cute stuff. I got the tissue paper I needed.

I started making these and wondered why I was making them so big. I wanted to make them smaller. You sew you learn. Every time I sew something up I should really check the first one to see how I am doing. But I get all involved in the Stargate Marathon they had on Sci-Fi Network this morning and forget about it I just act like a robot while sewing. I adore that show. I guess I can make these into ornies or something right?

I finally purchased my turkey and its frozen solid. I have it in the fridge and I am hoping it will thaw in 2 days. I am sorry but I can't wait to eat Mr. Turkey. Gobble Gobble.

It took a lot for me to have to bite the bullet and make my patterns digital. I am going to do a little Victory Dance now that I am done. I am so please to be done! I can now begin sewing full force. AHhhhh!

Do you know what you get when you spends HOURS loosing strings from fabric?? You get this lovely rag garland. I am almost done with it. I can't wait to see it finished.

I have made this woodland garland and put it for sale on Ebay. I had so much fun making these little animals. I also thought of another woodland creation to make as I was making this one. I am really just in a good creative mood lately. I hope it lasts.

I am ALMOST done working on my pdfs for my website. I must say it was such a bore. Lucky I took breaks and was able to sew a bit here and there. I have lots of scanning to do in the next few days and then I hope I am completed with this pdf project. I have taken away a bunch of patterns. Some may notice some may not. But I did if you are the ones who noticed. I guess all those ones you have are now collectibles. I do not plan on bringing them back. I have new ones too add so hopefully that shall make up.

I am getting so excited for Thanksgiving. Just all day cooking and eating. Oh it shall be fun. I have not even purchased my turkey yet. I am crazy I know. I will go out this weekend and get one. I am on a hunt for a very good and fresh and tasty gravy recipe. I want to offer 2 gravies for dinner. One is going to made of pan drippings and the other I am not sure of. I am surfing the net looking. If you know of any let me know. What kind of dishes are you looking forward to eating? My son told me last night he cant wait for my homemade sweet tater pie. Awww!

I created some scottie dogs and baby birds. I am going to use these in a creation I am making. I also have a another style I am working on. I will share pics when I get them both completed.

I am doing lots of webwork. I find it very blah. I rather view all my favorite blogs and maybe snack on some pomograndes. But I can't cause I will drip everywhere and I must get it done. Why can't every day be sew day?

I am just sewing my day away. I love it. Its the most relaxing thing I can do. Looky who came out to play today. I have this darling on ebay for a 5 day auction. Oh Its here the day. MY Birthday!! I had a very nice morning so far. I was able to get both kids out of here and on the bus. Treat number 1. No having to drive sleepy headed kids to school and deal with all the traffic. Treat number 2. I went into boys bathroom and scrubbed it down. Then turned on the Whirlpool tub. How they managed to get that tub and I a walk in shower....not today. No complaining. Its my birthday. I filled that tub up with some bubbles and lots of smelling good potions. hehe I even sprinkled some lilac stars given to me by a sweet friend. Thank you Susan! I climbed in that tub and turned on the jets and about floated away with all the bubbles. I put in too much soap. OPPS! It was a sight to see but oh so much fun. Treat number 3. Me in bubble land playing. Admiring my nice pedicure I gave myself the day before wearing my best red too. Then I quickly had to clean up and shave those horrid legs. Its been 2 weeks. Hubby is mortified. Treat number 3 I ran to my local FAVORITE bagel place and got my usual - Onion bagel toasted with cream cheese and lox and lots of fresh onions. (kiss.....anyone?) Then ran home to eat it and LOVED IT!! Now I am going to keep my day going with lots of sewing!

Well It didnt take me long to break into my new fabric I bought yesterday. This is my very first plush/softie doll. Now I had this other outfit in mind for her. But you know.... I could not help myself I had to make her a dress from yesterdays purchase. I had so much fun making this doll. It was very hard not to make her look like my primitive dolls. I had to keep going back and change things. I am very determined to keep on trying to make more of these softies. Softies - plush? Is that what you call this "style" of doll? I am going to name her. However, I havent a clue what to name her. I know it will come to me. I have to think. I simply adore her. I hope she pleases the felt lovers.

I had to sneak over to the fabric store. I was on a search for some nice tissue paper and I just got taken in by this fabric and I left the store with all this and no tissue paper. I didn't even LOOK for tissue paper. Next time I will go in with a list. I just find it so hard to stay focused in there. I can't wait to make something with this.

Don't you just love surprises? Hubby gave me these flowers! He is a sweetie. My Birthday is a few days away. I have the BEST hubby ever. Usually he is a RED FLOWER man. He said this time these called his name. Oh MY I am so glad they did!! Saturday as I stayed behind my sewing machine I heard a knock on my door. The postal lady says HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHERRY!! She had a package for me from a friend. Oh My MORE Surprises!! She sent me the cutest Snoopy pin, which I shall wear all day on My Birthday (nov. 14th). She sent me some dvds of my FAVORITE Peanuts movies and a awesome bubble lamp and that awesome shirt. WHERE she got that shirt I don't know, but I LOVE IT SO MUCH! THANK YOU MEL!! XOXOXOX

I can finally start to feel some of the autumn winds. It stays mostly sunny and mostly hot during Novemember in South Florida. But this past week we have been getting some cool breezes and cool mornings. Somehow the heat takes over before the noon hour. I steal those in between moments and savior them. I wish I could have full force cool breezes and different colors turning around me. Yet everything is green here. And the same. As always. I dream of your Perfect Autumn.

I dont really think I have enough play toys. I should dust them. Maybe one day. I need more dishes and maybe some more utensils. I just love love to play with them. I love finding/hunting/shopping for vintage childrens ware.
