I forgot to show you some of my goodies from Stitch Rock 2011.
I just can't express the love for that pink beaded purse!

The other day I found this plate / dish warmer in a thrifty store.
Usually I see the oblong ones or square ones that take up so much counter space.
Actually it's called a Warm-O-Tray.
You can see a vintage one with the box right here on Ebay.
They are for the Party Hostess.
Which screams, ME!
Next crafty party my dip can stay heated and I am so excited!
I picked this up for 4 bucks. I will be testing it out at the next party.

I was in one of my favorite antique stores the other day
and this vintage suitcase display caught my eye.
It is fabulous.
Awesome way to repurpose suitcases.
Sometimes I see those stained up suitcases and wonder what
could be done with them.
This is perfect.
You will never see the inside.

All summer I have been finding yards of vintage fabric at the thrift store!

Boiled Peanuts!!
I do love me some boiled peanuts.
I am unable to eat peanuts.
Peanuts are not a nut.
They are legume. A BEAN!
I am unable to eat beans to do to my tummy problems.
However, I can eat the peanuts boiled and have
no suffering side effects. I make sure to have a serving size.
Do you know how healthy BOILED peanuts are for you?
I made mine in the crock pot. It took me two days. I like mine soft.
Want to learn how to cook them?
Go to foodgawker and type boiled peanuts in.
There are several ways you can make them.
Canjun ones are amazing. But not too spicy if your making them for me!!

Homemade Jam

anniescupboards Reply 7:29 AM

This is the best jam I have ever tasted.
My friends makes this amazing jam.
You can find it by clicking HERE!

I wish you could just dip your spoon in and give a little taste.
My friend Emily and Jessica are selling their hand mades on
the road right now. They are hitting up the craft shows
and selling more than just jam. Check their Etsy link
and click the read more on their page. They have a list
of places they will be. If you live in Florida. They will be
in Northern Florida and Southern.

You must try her pickles and beans and garlic.

Fresh baked bread toasted with jam or what I like to call dessert!

I am currently hiding this jar in my fridge.
No one in the house knows anything
about it.

and the apple butter I bought from them.

Shhhhhh!!

Vintage Pyrex Dishes

anniescupboards 3 10:29 AM

I found this yellow dot Pyrex bowl.
I wish I could find the rest of the set!

I found these all at one store.
Sitting on the same shelf.
Waiting for me.
2 small Pyrex snowflake fridge dishes. Blue on white.
The medium snowflake fridge dish. White on blue.
One aqua Pyrex meatloaf dish. Well that is what I am using it for.

My friend snagged this for me in a Georgia thrifty store.
Orange Pyrex bowl.
ORANGE!!

I found this avocado green Pyrex bowl.

My friend Amy gave me the gravy boat with matching plate.
I have wanted one for so long. A gravy boat. ANY Pyrex
one would have done. Now my Thanksgiving table will be
Pyrex ready! The sugar and creamer dish are my first of
finding this pattern.

I do love a good Pyrex find!

DIY Cake Plate

anniescupboards 2 10:20 AM

I have a cake plate tutorial right here.
If you click on the link it will tell you how I made this.
You can make one too.

While thrifting I have been searching for domes for my cake
plates. Usually you can find a whole bunch of cheese or cake domes
loose. They sometimes will have the set. The bottom piece is really
not needed when your making your own DYI cake stand.

I about fell over when I saw
this pretty green glass dome.
All by itself.
Waiting for some thrifty person to come
repurpose it since the bottom was missing.
This looks like it went on top of a bowl.
Maybe a candy dish lid?
Perfect!

Vintage Candle Wall Sconce

anniescupboards 2 10:13 AM

I purchased this vintage candle wall sconce
at my local thrift store.
It is plastic and had this white with gold sponge paint all over it.
YUCK!
I quickly grabbed some spray paint.
PINK spray paint.
Then painted and let it dry.
I hung it in my craft room.
I love the way it came out.
Such an easy make over.

Now this .99 cent find is fabulous!
Check your local thrift stores.
You never know what you can make over
with just a little paint.

I used a matte spray paint. I must say, I love the matte look.

Thrifted Vintage Linen

anniescupboards Reply 10:04 AM

Summer has been it's usual SLOW
pickens at the thrifty stores around here.
I was able to find a few nice pieces to bring home.
I do love vintage linens.

This gray scalloped vintage tablecloth is amazing.

These 4 Vintage Vera napkins are going to be for sale in my Etsy shop.

This linen towel is going to hang in my crafty room come spring.

I found this same vintage bed sheet not long ago.
I now have a full set.
They are both twins.
This fitted sheet will be made into something.
The flat I will keep in my personal collection.
The colors are very bright.

I found this vintage handmade apron.
There was lots of work and detail sewn on here.
Lots of handwork.
I am so very happy to have this in my collection.

Sept. Crafty Potluck Party

anniescupboards 4 7:13 AM
I finally get to share some photos of September.
We had a crafty potluck party.
It has been a while since I last threw one.
I have 3 more planned before the year ends!
We did a sewing machine class this time.
I taught the class and gave a basic instructions
on how to use your machine.
We made a Velcro coin purse.

This class was so much fun. My friends make it amazing.
The craft makes it awesome.
The smiles make is fabulous.
There was lots of food. I did not even get photos of it all.
You will see lots of Vintage Pyrex on the table.

There was LOTS of this of course!!

Amy cracks me up. She is so fun.

We kept making weird faces all night. It was awesome.
I am excited about the next party!
